Maria
Regina Residence, a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of
Brentwood, New York, continues the Congregation’s participation in Jesus’
mission of healing, redeeming, and liberating by ministering to those women and
men Religious, Priests and lay persons in need of skilled nursing care. It is organized and administered
according to the policies established by the General Council of the Sisters of
Saint Joseph. We
believe in promoting health and wholeness, and in extending Christ’s healing
love to those Residents whose lives have been disrupted by sickness or
injury. We
believe in the dignity and worth of each Resident and her/his right to embrace
her/his personal identity. We
believe in the value of each Resident’s regaining her/his independence as much
as that is possible. We
believe in providing a climate that will enable each Resident to make decisions
and choices regarding her/his own health care. We believe in providing support,
counsel, and guidance in the decision making process. We
believe that each Resident has a right to all information regarding her/his own
health, and that a competent Resident’s decision must be respected and carried
out. We
believe that each member of the residence shares in the responsibility for
striving to create an atmosphere of joy and hospitality so characteristic of the
Sisters of Saint Joseph. We
believe that each person who works in the Maria Regina Residence has a
responsibility to contribute to an environment that will support and sustain
loving care and respect for personal dignity. We
believe in our MISSION to bring Christ’s healing comfort and power to
