Unit One East remains on precautionary quarantine due to a recent positive result of a staff member outside of Maria Regina.  Unit is undergoing required rounds of testing and will re-open on 9/30/21 when testing is complete and finds no positives. Updates will be provided as necessary.

Infection Preventionist

Develops, implements & evaluates annual infection prevention goals & action plans. Accountable for surveillance of facility acquired & community acquired infections including tracing & trending of all infections & documenting actions to resolve related problems. Conducts rounds & monitors infection control practices with staff. Chairs Infection Control Committee & prepares reports & statistical data for IC, QAPI and administration Oversees development & implementation of staff, family, resident & volunteer education. Oversees & conducts audits of infection control practices. Makes recommendations regarding facility practices & environment & insures appropriate supplies for infection control are provided. QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed as RN, Certification in Infection Control, Participation in an Infection Prevention & Control Professional Association.
